Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated on Tuesday that they are not worried about phone tapping, despite Apple’s warning to a number of Opposition leaders about “State-sponsored attackers” attempting to “remotely compromise” their iPhones.
“All opposition leaders got a notice saying, ‘Apple believes you are being monitored by state-sponsored attackers.'” Everyone in our office got it. You can touch (phones) as much as you want, KC Venugopal, Pawan Khera, Sitaram Yechury, Priyanka Chaturvedi, TS Singh Deo, Mahua Moitra, and Raghav Chaddha. I don’t mind. If you wish, I can give you my phone. We are not scared. “We are fighting,” Gandhi said during a news conference in New Delhi.
The Congress leader further stated that the Adani Group has the “soul” of the Modi administration.
Gandhi went on to say that Adani is superior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Reiterating his claim that “the PM works for Adani,” Gandhi stated that “the BJP government and the BJP’s financial system are inextricably linked with Adani.”
Several opposition lawmakers said on Tuesday that they received an Apple alert alerting them of “state-sponsored attackers attempting to remotely compromise” their iPhones and suspected government hacking, an allegation Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw denied but requested a thorough investigation.
Apple has warned lawmakers that if their devices are hijacked by a “state-sponsored attacker,” the attacker may be able to remotely access critical data, conversations, or even the camera and microphone.
“While it’s possible that this is a false alarm, please take this warning seriously,” Apple said in a message posted by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on X.
On August 23, Apple stated on its website that threat notifications are intended to educate and help users who may have been targeted by State-sponsored attackers.
